The St. John’s Fly Fishers are headed to Rosman, NC in the heart of the NC mountains at the headwaters of the French Broad River — October 4th through 6th.
We have a cabin rented right on the East Fork of the French Broad River, with room for 8 inside as well as outdoor camping spots.
Meals are part of the trip package — including lodging for an estimated $200 per person.
We’ll be fishing for brown, rainbow and brook trout close by with multiple streams to choose from. Our intel source will be Headwaters Fly Shop for where to fish, flies and leader/tippet combos to use. You are welcome to reach out to them in advance to prepare for the trip.
Bring your 3-6 weight fly rod combos, 4x and 5x leader and tippets, a camp chair and the snacks and beverages you prefer. We’ll be enjoying a camp fire both evenings and it’s likely to be cooler up there, so some warmer clothes are a good idea. Bring also waders and boots. Please let us know if you need to borrow or rent waders — we have several sources to include Jesse Browns in Southpark.
